Just bought a used 1995 F350 4x4 PS with 200k. Plan to make it a project truck. Drove it 1600 miles in two days and it ran like a champ. Problem is that I can't find the plug for the block heater and it is wicked cold out here. It takes 3-5 tries to get it started in the morning because of the cold and I can only imagine the impacts that has on the starter and other components. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

for 95-03 the Standard mounting position for the Powerstroke 7.3 (Navistar T444E) is in the rear oil cooler end casting, on left side of engine.

found some info on what the PS cord looks like....

you can get one on ebay...

here is the complete unit...also on ebay, but all PS came with one installed...just the option part in the pricing was for the cord...so the cord may be missing...(or if the original owner removed it for some reason)

Not all trucks came with the block heater. I was surprised when I heard this.

How cold is it getting?

With good fuel, Good glow plugs and the dual lift pump relay upgrade you should still start relatively easily>

Have you checked your glow plugs? Do the relay upgrade ASAP also.

Use only Duraterm or AC Delco 60G glow plugs on a 6.5. All others are a waste of time and money

Use only AC Delco or GM OPS & 1993 lift pump if using the OEM style lift pump

The block heater should be about 6 to 8" - guessing from in the house - behind the back side of the battery. You should be able to see it through the wheel well with the left front/drivers side wheel removed

Lol That's why I should never venture out of the 6.5 section and why people should fill out their signature

By gum it says right there F350. LOL

I've been spending to much time contacting legislators. My eyes are crossing

Thanks again for all the replies, I appreciate it. I climbed underneath of the truck and was unable to find anything that resembled a heater port. I need to get it up in a rack to tack a closer look. The biggest problem I am having has nothing to do with mechanical issues. The state of NM is being a pain about letting me register the truck. It is missing the VIN sticker on the door so they won't give me a tag until I pay a visit to the State Police. Found this out today (a rare day off) and the darn office is closed through Tuesday of next week. Hopefully I can get this ironed out soon because the temp tag expires on the 27th. You all have a great week and I'll let you know what I find out when I get a chance to take a closer look.
