You don’t want a low micron filter as a primary filter- oil, fuel, etc.
oil especially because a little dirty oil is way better than super clean oil that doesn’t get there in time.
Running a bypass filter is great- there are a few brands that are third party certified.
My plan is one of the small centrifuge that is powered by 120v oil pump. Add a couple hoses to yonder engine with dry connects that when truck is driving will just connect together. Then when it’s parked I can plug in the two hoses and turn on the pump. The pump will draw from oil pan & feed through centrifuge- back into engine. Cleaning at 110psi- the centrifuge cleans to 1/10 of 1 micron or 0.1 micron- cleaner than the oil comes out of the bottle.
Only problem is oil in pan is clean but not oil in cooler- so maybe I add a couple fittings on those two lines also?
No kill like overkill! Haha.
Then I can also use the sam pump & centrifuge for cleaning up used motor oil in the event that I wanna run black diesel…ya know, when Zombies attack.
