Didn't know where to put this one so I stuck it here.

Just got done with my DIP switch mod in my Suburban yesterday. I'm pretty sure I got it right but the ABS light still pops is this right? I figured with the right calibration the ABS would go out (oversized tires). Maybe I'm off? I haven't verified with GPS yet but SOTP says I should be right or very close.

Every time I pull codes I only get 12 (or the occasional 78). Whenever I have had to pull codes (including now) I have never gotten one for any brake/ABS problem.

This is not like a Ford in that it does not have a separate diagnostics link for ABS, correct?

Pins A and H shorted as Kane suggested is for ABS not DTC.
Watch the ABS light instead of DTC light.

The DTC is A and B pins.
DTC 78 on DTC is the Wastegate Solenoid fault. Chances are your Turbo Solenoid is out or your vac system is leaking.

So, yes, it has separate system like Fordy.

Ah, I will have to try that tomorrow getting a little late tonight. Found the problem I think. There was a slight solder bridge that was extremely hard to see. My brother found it with a multimeter. We got the speedo right though. I'll reset codes before I go to work tomorrow if I remember to do so and give it a full day.

Well when I said link I mean a completely different harness/plug.

Those codes are not related to the VSSB, I would check the fuses first if it were mine. Here's the code list for you.

Try to clear it first:

1. Turn ign to ON position
2. Jump H to A
3. Remove jumper for 1 sec (disconnect H to A)
4. Jump again for 2 sec (connect H to A again)
5. ABS light should be off.

See if it shows up again.

FERM is correct to check fuses and grounds first.

These codes are related to your BPMV, those are the black box behind the driver side battery that said Kelsey Hayes.

41-54 : Control Valves
65-66: Open or shorted pump motor relay
67: Open motor Circuit or Shorted BPMV output

According to manual the relay is inside the BPMV and it has to be replaced if it really fails.

Other members may have some idea on how to fix it or just disconnect the ABS altogether.

The ABS light is on in the 96 K1500 Suburban. The local mechanic said that it was the left front wheel sensor. I'm getting ready to change that and check the front axle while I'm there.

Does anybody have any advice on fixing the ABS if the light is still on after I change the sensor?
