HEY!!

How is it going this is my first time posting on this forum I have been reading lots of forums about turbo setups for the 6.5td and what has worked for them. But from all the forums I've been on I've never seen a good answer. Btw I'm not looking to spend lots on a turbo so I was looking at the hx35's an 40's but is there better setups out there for the 6.5 ? I just want to know opinions on what you guys think is the best way to go?

Thank you

lots of opinions out there, alot of it depends on how you are going to use your truck, ie light to light or towing
I do lots of off-road and intown towing but usually light loads like toy haulers or snowmobiles or my drag car that's mainly it so I'm manly going for performance tbh not really for towing because rn for towing I find is perfectly fine as I'd just looking for more power as my stock turbo is on its way out

Im going to jump on AK's band wagon for your use. I would get a good tune for it from someone like kojo. The only advantage that the ds4 has over a db pump is the ability to get it tuned to your use. Do leave that free power and mpg on the table.

A good 4" exhaust is big also. Depending how tired your injectors are, keep them in mind for the future. No I dont sell stuff btw, just learned a long time ago having everything match up gets much better results.

There is a difference between the hx40II and the hx40 . The hx40II is normally a smaller turbo than the hx40. Wheels are different. The hx40II is also a Chinese copy and cheaper. If you go with the real hx40 it's closer to the ATT. All are better than stock, performance wise

Ya I got exhaust and tune will be no issue I've been tuning diesel and gas cars/trucks for many years so tune alone saves me there already have a set of new injectors new marine lift pump feed the beast kit but ya I was simply asking about turbos to see what would be the best we have many holset turbos here just wasn't sure what would be the most efficient and best for off-road and intown
