95 dually rear brakes

Well i was wrong bleed the brakes again tonite and took for a drive and the pedal starting going all the way back to the floor

sounds like the master got to low and sucked some air whilst bleeding

i filled it between bleeding each wheel to keep that from happening. If the abs module is bad could it cause this problem and if so is there a way to bypass it

There is something to do with the ABS, but I can't remember. I think it was Ferminator that posted about it.

Well i done some more bleeding on the brakes and got a little bit of pedal but when holding them they continue to seep down to the floor

Are you loosing brake fluid? If so, pull your wheels off and inspect closely. Follow the brake line inch by inch. Wish I could look at it in person... Hmm

Not losing any fluid a local mechanic that works on a lot of the trucks said it sounded like the abs module to him so i found a good used one and i'm trying it now so hopefully it will fix it

Sounds like you got air in the ABS accumulator to me. Bleeding the ABS is a TRUE PAIN. The hard part is finding a scanner to access the ABS to do so. I know most shops do not have the software to connect to the 95 ABS module. My local dealer has up to 94, and 96+, but cannot hook up to my 95's. The best way to do it without a scanner is you need to find a sand or gravel road where you can lock up the brakes and engage the ABS to actuate the pump and work the air out. You have to go out and lock them up, then bleed the brakes, and repeat until no more air is present. This method can take HOURS to do, but I know for many of us is our only option.

I got the abs module changed and i beleive i have all the air out of now but on a positive note my brakes are working and i have real good pedal might have a 1/4 inch free travel before they start grabbing

Getting the air out is the problem. The other kicker that can get you is if there is even a little air in the ABS, when they actuate that trapped air can come out, and you can lose your pedal all over again. I don't know why GM had the system built without manaul bleeders on it like everybody else did.

I hate the whole 2 steps forward 1 step back. Sometimes I feel like it 2 steps forward then turn around and sprint the other way. What is the trans doin? or maybe a new thread in the trans section, idk?

Kicking in and out of overdrive at any speed above 55mph does good at that speed and lower
