This is pretty slick, but I imagine the mpg are like a boat.

They said it gets 8 mpgI'd like one of those.
Do you think it would get 4 mpg?
I agree. My ideal conversion would be a Duramax LBZ into a 2005 Suburban 2500 4x4It’s neat, but 550hp / 750 torque that nets 8mpg…
Duramax or Cummins any day of the week over that.
Same power, double the mpg, much longer engine life, more parts availability, lower purchase price, no body shake from idle, quieter ride if you choose. Less weight on those front springs for better handling, braking, etc.
I grew up on gasoline engines. Honestly I would prefer to work on a late 50’s-early 60s SBC over anything. Numbers like 18436572, 30° dwell, 8°btdc will just never leave my mind. I like gas over diesel for cars 99.9% of the time. But when weight gets involved the difference of a turbo diesel just deviates. Hence one of my dream cars of a 59 caddy as a daily driver getting a dmax.
I still prefer the GMT400 Suburbans.I agree. My ideal conversion would be a Duramax LBZ into a 2005 Suburban 2500 4x4
There's a few out thereI’m setting along the interstate waiting for the tow unit to arrive to haul this pig back to town.
That give me time to watch the video.
Yeah, that’d be a cool unit to drive but I also like the idea of a duramax in one of the suburbans.
I hope it all works ourI’m setting along the interstate waiting for the tow unit to arrive to haul this pig back to town.
