Sorry im Hi jacking some chit chat on this thread-

Bought my daughter a 93 C1500 today in katy TX, 134K miles, 5.0 auto. It has new tires, brakes, heater core , AC works, no rust, no real dents all around a pretty decent little truck. Its gonna clean up good. Paid $3K for it.

Biggest issue that I found on the test drive is the oil pressure is low, Im dropping the pan tomorrow and changing the oil pump, rod and main bearings. It runs great and just a real faint rattle from the eng sometimes. So I will give a shot at the pump and bearings and see how that goes.
