Last year member bobbiemartin did a thread on rebuilding a GEP engine. His started life as a N/A also. He changed the bearings for squirters if I remember correctly. He bought bearings from penninsular to fit properly. I'll dig the thread up for you and post a link.

Was it a military engine or specifically called out as a 6.5 HMMWV engine? If it were a 6.5 being used as a 6.2NA replacement in a CUCV I wonder if that why they had wrong bearings for a 6.5 oil squirter block.

You wanna make sure the oilpump is high flow if you gonna use the squirters.

I'll go check oil pump, high flow model is higher then for example 95's stock pump, right?

98+ oil pump for turbo motor should be high volume.
