Trying to wire in backup lights and the neutral safety on my truck. Any idea if I can use the transmission harness for this, or is it all on the shifter?

What truck and what exactly are you trying to do? Are you just trying to add extra reverse lights?

Not extra, the OEM ones. It's a K30, but not OEM trans.

If you added it in, then you can eithet use a setup on the column like a 700r4 used, or if you have a 95+ trans with a nsbu on it, you can easily wire it in to work. Just need to figure out which is easiest for you to do with your setup.

I'm running a lokar floor shifter. I'll run a switch for the lights to pass inspection for now.

If your 4l80e had a cable shifter stock, then it should have the bosses on the case for the nsbu to put it there, otherwise you will have to improvise as the stock setup worked via the column.
