4L80 dust cover

I need to find one for mine at some point. were the 95 years cast aluminum or punched sheet metal? I wonder if one from a 4l60 would fit off a gasser in the bone yards

I've gotta drop my crossover pipe to change a exhaust donut so I'll finally get to put my cover back on.. it's been off since I changed the tranny.. forgot about it until after everything else was back together

FWIW, after the P400 install, my slushbox ran commando until I did the manual conversion. Girdle on the new engine was incompatible with the cover and I was too lazy to grind the cover to fit.

Might have gone the extra effort if the Burb saw any notable offroad, but it was mostly a highway Queen.

I saw your other comment about that, I'll be trimming it to fit...
