246 tcase

So digging around on the internet I come up with 99-02. It all seems kinda vague though. If anyone has better info please speak up.

The 246 came out in 97 iirc. They all interchange to my knowledge, the difference lies in the encoder motor. If you swap the correct encoder in, any of them should work.

There's more wires on some than others and you have to change the shaft the encoder fit too. Found one at a wrecking yard that I'm picking up today

Well all done it appears to have been a reman tcase in a vehicle that had 130k on it so it could be pretty low mile. Sure was nice doing it on a lift the hardest part was just wrestling it out and in. No way to use a tranny jack
