Need help identifying the year of my grill on my 93 chevy

88-89 sealed beam headlight assemblies (LMC has replacement lenses that accomodate drop-in bulbs). All GMT-400 core supports are the same in light duty, the work truck 5x7 bucket plops in or 4 bolts are used to bolt the composite or dual sealed beam assembly on, such as you have. All of the...

    1987 5/4 ton Speedometer adjustment

I'd suggest downloading a copy of the parts catalog that covers that year (it's the 85-86 C/K & 87-91 R/V series book), refer to group 4.000 where trans/tcase section is, there are speedometer gear charts. It also depends on what tire size he has.

    6.2 intake part numbers

Still looking for the correct manifold to get rid of the egr and make it look like it never existed. 1987 Chevy Silverado K1500, 6.2L with a Banks Sidewinder. I hadn't noticed the single/dual plane differences before someone mentioned it above. Are they all the same height to where the intake...

    6.2 intake part numbers

On a 6.5 I've seen the fuel filter mounted between the runners and I'm familiar with them, here's a pic of the two I'm curious about, for reference.

    6.2 intake part numbers

Bumping this thread. I am looking to delete the egr on a 1987 Silverado K1500, is this manifold that Ted's has the correct one? Looks to be 23500011. If it matters the truck has a Banks turbo kit on it. Is it better to have the manifold with divider, 14071069. Also, on the latter manifold...

Well, I stepped up to the plate and look what happened...........yet another project.

I've dishwashed a few interior pieces and so long as I don't use the pots and pans setting or the high temp this or that, I haven't had any problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

1996 GMC Extended Cab K3500 DRW Build

I am going to make an effort to keep this thread more updated here. If you can't tell the truck is mine now. I graduated from college last April and my dad said I needed something reliable and he finally started driving his 2011 LML 3500HD DRW (it had 700 miles on it a year ago). I still need...

1996 GMC Extended Cab K3500 DRW Build

I do have a big update coming in the near future. Just maintaining it really: Installed more versatile trailer socket, upgraded brake controller, improved bed-chassis electrical connections. Replaced cruise control servo. Replaced oil pressure sensor. HVAC fan control switch & resistor. Wiper...

1996 GMC Extended Cab K3500 DRW Build

Two years ago my dad and I scrounged some local yards and picked up a set of handles with rods off of a 95+ 3500HD. They were chipped and weren't looking to hot, but go figure, they still worked great. Disassembled and dropped off at a local powder coater, we picked them up this spring and I...

1996 GMC Extended Cab K3500 DRW Build

Last spring I took the time to hit the truck with some heavy cut, fine cut, then cleaner wax. The sides need some more work, but it sure beads water on the top. Also, installed OEM LED cab light bulbs.

1996 GMC Extended Cab K3500 DRW Build

After the headlamp harness upgrade I installed a new & upgraded alternator on my truck. (Unrelated to harness, it just happened to die the next day.) I have the details on alternator upgrade in this thread (on 67-72chevytrucks.com): AD244 Alternator Upgrade for 96+ GMT-400s

1996 GMC Extended Cab K3500 DRW Build

Slightly less than a year ago, the less-than-temporary headlamp harness was created. With the help of my good friend David (88GMCtruck) we removed the OEM harnesses, dissected the BS headlight wiring, and re-created them using all 12-gauge wiring. During this time wiring for fog lights and...

1996 GMC Extended Cab K3500 DRW Build

Lighting Upgrades!!! A year ago, now, I cleaned, lubricated, and installed a set of 88/89 dual sealed beam adjusters. I loaded the adjusters with the conversion lenses that LMC sells and 4,300K 35W HIDs. Utilizing a GM PDL relay (6-pin, two relays w/common pwr/gnd) and a diode I wired up a...

1996 GMC Extended Cab K3500 DRW Build

Update: - Steering wheel audio controls installed, after some *cough* minor troubleshooting they work great. Sooooo handy. Also, so much nicer to use a puller on steering wheel as opposed to brute force. After removing three (or four) by hand, I'm done with that crap. - I've noticed that at...
