    Burning Main Fuses

According to the fuse/relay label, there is a 50 amp fuse in that line that is suppose to feed the fan motor on high switch position. Its purpose is to by pass the fan resistor modes. I will be discovering more about that fuse and circuit after I get to going today. I did not know about that...

    Burning Main Fuses

Yup, thats the ones, very far back. Two 30 amp fuses one is the far back in the row and the other next position forward.

I had to do to a job at Roberts Montana, when I get back home I will check for that second plug. I’m not ignoring the forum, or this thread, when I get finished at the end of the day, cant keep my eyes open long enough to reply to any posts. I am camping on the job.

    Burning Main Fuses

No. It is the far back fuse at the back of the fuse/relay box. It is between that fuse at the arrow and the relay. There are two 30 amp fuses back to back. I am pointing the IR thermometer at it but the thermometer is blocking the view if it. I am out away from home until at least this...

    Burning Main Fuses

I did make up a ground and attach it to the blower cage and to the ground lug and it made no difference in the motor or fuse temps.

I’ll look for that other plug. Getting ready to go over to Roberts Mt. to dismantle two old rock crushers. I was thinking about taking the bike over because of this problem with the truck. A torch for taking those apart is most essential. So now I’m thinking I’ll load the torch set in the truck...

Save or Kill this K2500 Suburban 6.5

If it were my decision and money, I’d be fixing that. If it goes to the scrappers, I’d like all of the interior.

Wires and connectors all looks good. In order to add a case ground I’ll weld on a ground lug to the fan back housing. None of the mounting bolts hits a grounding source, or, I could clean an area and solder on a wire. Ground lug will be easier. Looking at the motor terminals. They all are shiny...

That white spot in her eye is one marble eye. She is definitely a mixed up little character. Black like a black lab, white blaze on her chest with these bluish/grey polka dots, marble eye and sort of pitty bull jaws. Because she is so mixed she has emotional issues, cant decide, chew on one of...

YUP, got it offt in one piece. Pulled the ECM and the gizmo under it, along with the ECM mounting tray, then I could see and get to the motor wire harness/plug, then some more pulling and tugging and it came right out.

    Burning Main Fuses

Motor winding housing. Motor bearing end plate. Fuse in fuse box. The helper running the controls and barking out orders. And now. The motor winding housing at 116 degrees. That does not seem so bad, but IDK how warm they do run with the AC and heat off. Now the strange part is, I can hold...

    Burning Main Fuses

Main grounds checked and cleaned. They are bright and shiny, including the ground strap to the firewall, RH side. Blower motor off, engine running. Fuse temp running 94*f. Blower motor on high, engine running, blower motor running for about ten minutes. Fuse temp 165*F. IDK how accurate my IR...

And as a side note, the heater and AC I think has not been ran since the trip coming home from Missoula.

My 2000 GMT400 K3500. CC SRW Long box. Things added that might draw some extra amperage. Air Dog lift pump. Electro Viscous radiator fan system. Thats about all that I think thats been installed. No extra stereo amps or some such as that kinds of items. First time it happened was when I realized...
