I saw your earlier posts and picked up a set of the exhaust manifolds from RA . They were around $200 plus shipping . I wanted them new so that I wouldn't have to deal with the slime and grime when welding/hacking the apart . Still thinking about which way to go as maybe Muggy Weld rods are in...

Larger and longer trans . Wiring is also different . This is not a bolt in swap .

As the others have stated , that's a Moroso Pan E Vac system . Two breathers , check valves and pipes that are cut at about 45 degrees .

Are those " Hoops " ?

I have both of the manifolds off the vans brand new . I was thing about cutting off the 90 on the one side , shorten the pass side and welding the 90 onto it . Maybe machine a groove onto the end so a clamp could be used . Just another project .

Like to see how you will position the van manifold .

How much of the TCM system do you still have ? I might have some of the TCMs , depending on the year , as there were 2 different numbers .

Offset keys are the same as SBC or BBC keys . To really do this right , follow what Chris suggested . If that's not an option , I suppose you could remove an injector and use a small screwdriver to get close to TDC . After that you need a degree wheel and the cam specs .

What Chris said . I have a DSG gear set and with my regrind Crane cam , it took offset keys in the crank and cam .

Will , if you are going to use the crank sensor for RPMs , I would think 2 of the teeth on the crank gear would need to be removed . Cam rotates at half engine speed . Makes me wonder on the wave output as well i.e. square , sawtooth ....

I know of one for sale @ $25,000 .

They come up on Ebay . I have a couple of the early and later models . Easy to spot . The female connectors have no color around them like purple , red , blue , tan , etc . Plain finish with 2 cavities . Think I paid around $100 . Any time a 93 or earlier truck or van comes up for sale or parts...

Mine took 4 slugs of heavy metal when it was balanced for an additional $250 .

The FD website states that you can not use it when balancing . It will need a stock balancer for the machine work or something else ? Maybe Chris can comment .

And that's not easy to do . There are weights around some holes so the converter is not on flat .

I recently found a pair of 6.2s , one with a Banks kit . I also have a new in the box Banks for my 85 CC dually so I have some parts . An interesting note is the newer Banks has the plate behind the fuel pump for the turbo oil drain while the second kit locates the drain directly into the pan ...

No , the hole is in the vacuum pump housing just under the flange . Feeds oil under pressure up the shaft . This hole is very small , maybe 1/8 inch . I didn't see it at first and got soaked when I spun the shaft with the drill .

I would use an old oil pump drive that has the top cut off to run the pump . A 1/2 inch drill can run it but make sure the little hole under the flange is plugged or you will get soaked in oil .
