Both turn signals quit working this morning. The hazard lights still work though. I replaced the signal flasher on the fuse box under the dash but it said hazards? I hope it was the right one. Anyone else know of anything to check? Driving with out signal lights is scary.
It ended up being a blown ECM1 fuse. The oil gauge is still bouncing all over the place. Maybe a bad OPS? I would just like to say thanks for the fast responses yesterday. You guys rock! I had enough info by the end of the day to start diagnosing my truck on the side of the highway and fixed...
Is ESO a common failure on these pumps? Also if I have no power to pmd or ESO would that be ignition related? Where would I start looking for power if the ESO doesent click? Sorry for the many questions
I forgot to add the truck has died a few times in the past week or so but fired right up and while I was on the highway this morning my oil pressure gauge was going crazy damn near bouncing right around then it would level out depending on how fast i was driving then go back to bouncing. Maybe...
Was on my way to school and almost made it to my over pass and the truck died. Now it just cranks over and over and over no sputter or anything. I swapped in my spare PMD and that did nothing I checked to make sure lift pump is running and it's vibrating when I put my hand on it. The wierd thing...
I worked lots of pipline during my apprentice years. The gayest part was when the line was in and back filled we had to go back and pick rocks by hand for days.
We tryed it on an old 1992 cavaler we were bagging the snot out of in the field. Under wide open throttle we slowly opend the valve and it would pull hard and rev up for a few seconds then it would kinda explode in the air box and kill the car. I'm sure if we had a regulator it would have...
Does your 141 have squirters? I have a spare 141 with no cracks and has the 12mm outter bolt holes with squirters...... My twin turbo test engine was built off a 929 with lots of ugly cracks. Not to sure how many miles i will get out of it. Maybe the drasticly lowered compression will help ease...
If you are putting on an HX35 lower the compression. I had one on my other truck and pushed out a head gasket in 4 months. It even had ARP head studs. Im in the process of rebuilding the engine right now.
So what gave way on the engine? Crank snap and took the mains with it? or just cracked...
Well i found one crack for F**K sakes. Think lock n stitch would hold it together okay? Or is she a junk block.... Also so photos of my warn out harmonic ballencer
Yup definatly blew the head gaskets. The frount passengers side and the rear drivers were both gone. Now to take the bottem end apart havent seen any cracks so far.
I found an interesting article regarding defective blocks how acturate the info is I don't know. But from what it states is AMG took over the new castings in 2000. If that's true who would
Have built mine in march of 2001?

Good idea on the Diamond chambers! I have a new set of heads i will be swapping them into for this build. Although nothing was wrong with the ones on the engine. The olny reason i quit driving it a few months ago was becaues i blew a head gasket and said screw it im not going to all that work...
