    Better mileage with higher speed.

Oh yeah stock except for Predator on 85 and a drop in AFE filter. :yesnod:

    Better mileage with higher speed.

Just went to SC and back. Going there, I set my cruise at just under 70 to try and maximize mileage. I ended up getting 17.5 that tank. On the way back, I ran around 75-77 the whole way and got a personal best of 19.25. I know it defies the laws of physics, but for some reason my truck gets...

Weekend of running done, more tuning and work to do.

Something is up with those MPH. With at 60 ft and MPH, you should be in the low 8's for sure. You are trapping 15 more MPH than me with a better 60 ft and only running .7 better.

    LBZ: Identifying Non-GM Calibration Usages

I thought they had to honor warranty unless they can prove the tuner caused the specific problem you are trying to fix, per the Magnussen-Moss act.

    DIC pessimistic.

Just filled up my truck and got 18.1 mpg for the whole tank of mixed driving. DIC was showing 16.6 so I was pleasantly surprised. Makes me want to buy a Predator and get a 4 inch MRBP turbo back and see if I can beat it. Best with the Predator was 19 interstate only. The fact that a 7400...

    Attention Crew Cab Sleeper Owners!

I would think as long as you had an approved mattress and the like their would be nothing they could say as it is seperated from the cargo area and has over a 75x24x24 area.

    Recon LED's

Does anyone here have the recon LED's or any other LEDs as running lights? I was thinking of getting smoked lights with amber and red lenses, so during the day my truck would be blacked out (since it is black with tinted windows) and at night have the appropriate lights.

    more Smokey Mountain Pics.

You used to be able to see over 200 deer easy with 30-40 large bucks. We were riding through on bicycles right after they set the wolves loose and one was a couple hundred yards away howling. We peddled fast.

That's the problem, if they want to find something to write you up for, they will. They will interpret the rules however they want to according to how the officer feels that day. I was given a ticket for being 2 hours behind on my logs during a trip that never went over 100 air miles from home...

I wonder if a topper would be a legal sleeper with a bumper pull trailer. The regs say 75 x24x24, it doesn't say how it has to be orientated.

    Will I lose mileage?

I want to go from 215/85 16's to 225's on my 06 dually. Will they rub and will I lose mileage? What would be a good tire to go with that would last 50k miles or so. My Generals have 36k on them and are at the end of the road.

Fuel mileage to Il and back.

LBZ. This truck has been awesome, even with over 7k pounds in tow it never had to downshift up one hill, not even Monteagle. Just needs tires.

http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regulations/administration/fmcsr/fmcsrruletext.asp?section=393.76 sound like the rear window would be enough.

You maybe right, but Cow-town sleepers advertise that there's are legal with the rear window entrance. I''l try to find the regulation. :yesnod:

Fuel mileage to Il and back.

oh yeah, only problems with this truck have been steering wheel clunk and my light sensor fell into the dash while riding through rough roads.

Fuel mileage to Il and back.

2006 with 36,400 miles after this trip. Beat the heck out of my Isuzu, which would have been lucky to get 8 mpg, not to mention it doesn't have cruise, rides like a wagon, AC is broke. I figure with the fuel it saved over the isuzu, it paid it's truck payment this month. :cheers2:

    Attention Crew Cab Sleeper Owners!

Are there any sleepers that sit on top of the bed and allow access through the back window with it taken out? That way you could have a fuel tank in the truck bed under it and as long as the sleeper is 24x24x72 it would be legal. It probably wouldn't be that hard to make one, but it might...

Fuel mileage to Il and back.

Just took my truck to East Moline, Il and back hauling 4800 pounds of erosion control mat up there with a 2500 pound trailer. Loaded was 13.5 MPG with cruise at 70 mph. Empty with just trailer, I knocked down around 15 with cruise set at 70 in Il and 75 the rest of the way home. Truck is...

    Attention Crew Cab Sleeper Owners!

So what they are basically saying is that even though you acting in your and everyone else's best interest and safety in mind by resting, they care more about revenue. Like I said you could be inside a truck stop for 10 hours straight not resting and just screwing around and that be legal but...
