Currently having a similar problem in my 92. If its the same as mine then there are some metal shavings causing some internals to stick. Id rather buy a built allison instead of messin with the old 92 so the quick fix for me was to push the throttle to the floor a couple times while the truck is...
Stock tires, i cant find rims at the right price around my area or else i would have bigger tires on there. So for now pizza cutters for me. I know i could have got more out of it but with all the stopping for drunk people it was making it hard. But im still enjoying the hell out of it. Even...
Went down to the dunes this past weekend and got to see what kind of mileage i could get with a tow tune in. I couldnt compare to stock since this is the first time ive been down with the dmax. 24' bumper pull with 2 6k lb axles, and a sand rail, 2 quads, fire wood and coolers loaded on it. Dirt...
To be on the safe side i think ill have a built motor with bigger injectors before the stockers start to go (knock on wood). Then again ill still be adding 0's to the total :cornut:
Not as bad as it sounds, more of a pride issue with my roommate (dodge boy). My truck was dripping washer fluid, about 10 drops or so for a couple and i couldnt believe that my truck was leaking. Atleast it was washer fluid. Anyways i drop the resevoir (sp?) to find that my washer pump had...
Man i wish i had my camera with me the other day. Found an old ford 1 ton with that conversion. It was an old cab chassis and the back axle acted as a dummy. However he took the stock springs out and bought 2 sets of springs that were the exact same made some new mounts and bolted everything in...
Exactly. Rims, exhaust, mirrors, etc. I heard that dodge was gonna drop the megacab and make a regular crew cab like GM and Ford when the new hds come out. But from the pics i guess they are still gonna have it:confused:
So ive had efi for two weeks now and waited very very patiently for tie rods. Tie rods are now on and with a new alignment so now tunes get to go on. Well my buddy and i put a 125 tune on his lbz first and then the coal started to roll. He took his dad out for a little joy ride and shortly after...
When I first started driving dad had a few company sponsored chains but after using a buddys snatch strap back in high school i stuck with those. I now have 4"x30' rated at i think 30k or 35k and a 6"x30' rated at 55k or 60k. Havent used the big one yet since i havent broke the small one or come...
:boxing_smiley: Funny post but you know that LBZ cant hold up to an LB7  besides, the LB7's have a better exhaust anyway. Stock or aftermarket. :cheers2:
I do all my own unless like said previously the job at hand requires a special tool. On that note the shop i take it to for that kind of work, i will drive my truck into the shop watch them work on it when they are finsihed i go over the work as best as i can and drive my truck out. No one gets...
I have something similar to what phil has just it has a 3/8" square hole that is perfect for a 12" extension to fit into. No need to remove inner fender or cut a slit in it. First time i did it, takin it off took about 5 minutes and then getting it back on without it lubed up took about 10...
My dads is a 99 so its rated a 275hp or 285hp i cant seem to remember right now, anyway it has 3.73's, dont get 3.42s it takes forever to get through any gear when towing any weight at all. As far as towing goes im not for sure what it is rated at either but i would say in the 6.5k to 7.5k range...
Just noticed you dont have any fog lights, what is a guy to do with no fog lights. Guess your just gonna have to let the lb7 do all the work. Its ok, it doesnt mind the extra work:dita:. Your dad undercoated the frame also, so if the weather turns out to be good ill get more pics up.
Well since one of my friends is in iraq and this site is one of the main ways we communicate, i thought i would share his new truck with everyone. Hell, he doesnt even get to drive it till the end of july but here is a teaser for you blake :cheers2:. Once the concrete sets in the building ill...
From what i hear but it coudl be wrong. Am I wrong for thinking that if you have multiple licenses and, for example, you have 2 licenses you could tune 2 trucks from 2 generations of dmaxes say a LB7 and a LBZ or do they have to be the same gen? Thanks in advance.
