So far i got the heads ported and painted, was waiting on the wrist pin bushings to get pressed in for a week then had to track down a kit to install the cam bearings into the block. But i got the bottem all assembled this weekend and should be able to put the heads back to together and install...

You must have been lower then that. I shaved 0.070 and you shaved 0.090 Another member figured mine to be around the mid 16s. I would think another 0.020 would knock yours down more then half a point. I have no white smoke at idle like you did eather. Maybe I'm wrong I donno.....

I was told his turbos were smaller then the GMX. I'm not exactly sure what kind. He also has custom headers for each one. I could see a significant gain in over all peformance compared to using the stock ones like I have. But building headers is alot of work.

The HX is just a bit slower then a GM8 get up and go wise. The twins are very slow compared to the HX. I wouldent recommend the twin set up I have for towning or racing. Works great for a commuter/highway truck runin empty though.

Yes sir, I blew a head gasket last fall and decided not to just replace the gaskets. I stripped it down and wanted to do it right. Its gonna be worth the wait I know it.
