I noticed after I purchased a 195 unit from Kennedy that it was listed for single stat units 97 and up and mine's a 94. Will it not fit? I wasn't aware there was a difference.
You're probably the only person in the state that would look at the thing and still consider stealing it. In the GM database, it's actually listed as eye-sore blue.
For the effort of pulling the thermocouple, I'm figuring I'll just replace it. It's threaded in to the manifold pre-turbo but I...

Anyone ever had their thermocouple on the EGT fail? I know to the hour when mine started acting weird. It went from correct indications to wavering/wandering with no direct connection to boost and often impossibly low.
Now, I've pulled 8500# back and forth from the ranch - the sole purpose...
Recently I'd adjusted the last segment of my 4" straight pipe and didn't get the clamp tight enough as it slipped out. I noticed it walking around the car while fueling. It was running at the time and I crawled underneath and was able to slide it back in place.
What surprised me was how 3...
I'm posting just to close the loop. I've made a dozen trips to the ranch hauling the jd3720 with either the sheer or grapple on board with a weight around 7500 pounds. The truck is doing well. There are either two or four places (depending on the route I choose) it consistently wants to...
Fresh rotors, calipers, pads, brake lines and fluid has the ugly old gal back pounding out miles on the cheap. Sadly, it sounds like the ranch is frozen over still with a massive snowfall. Good news for the trees and pond; bad news for me. I think I'll build a gong for the shooting range and...
Got a chance to look at it all. The rotors are worn below turning, the calipers stick and look horrible. They're getting replaced along with new brake lines. Strangely, the rear end - that's never seen any attention - is fine.
Did some reading on the 'net. I've put pads on the front but never on the rear. I'm thinking at 155000 miles, it might be time to do 'em all and flush the lines. I'm thinking maybe it's taking so much travel to actuate the pads that it could be draining the reservoir.
I was operating the truck on frozen precipitation and the anti-lock brakes functioned. After that though the brakes seemed spongy. Since then, when I apply the brakes the parking brake light comes on if I push hard on the pedal. Consistently, if I shut the truck off and restart it the light...
Well, this weekend I noted it takes about 1300 rpm to move upslope and about 1450 rpm to maintain my desired speed so a fast idle won't support my needs. Oh well.
We may have been closer than you think. I spent much of the day at my ranch three miles north of Longdale.
Crap. No easy answer. Hey, maybe I can get SteakSauce to make me one....
Thanks for the reply, buddy. Been a while. I'm wondering if, short of a flash, one could slip a potentiometer in somewhere to lie to the ecm essentially telling it you were doing 26 mph when you were really only doing 5 mph...that kind of thing. Frankly, I don't know why this isn't an option...
