Monday before last, I brought a deer home to butcher and parked the truck in the street. I have a winch with a remote in the attic I use for processing. Anyway, I showed up after my neighbor's guest arrived to her party - one of the local theater group. Thus, it was probably not on the...
21.5 mpg out of this tank. More fun to fuel today as my neighbor's domestic help backed into my truck crushing the bed forward of the left rear tire. No note. Nothing.
I'm stunned. But then, I need the cold. My AC is out AGAIN. The clutch isn't kicking in. I'm assuming low charge but I paid the GM nitwits to fix the system. Most of it is less than two years old. If I didn't need defog I'd delete the damn thing and shoot it with my wife's new Remington...
I was somewhat doubting on the mileage improvement potential. Color me wrong. 21 mpg and change. At this rate, it'll pay for itself before the next oil change.
Oh, my day started joyous and full of promise. I got the bolts out of the driver’s side crossover and – just for giggles – tried to run a bolt up the empty thread for the missing bolt. No joy. Stripped.
I hit Fastenal for five new bolts and one of an extended length with an allen head. I...
Yep, on the driver's side I only have two. It didn't break off and a the threads in the manifold look fine. I only noticed it because, although at full APP the boost makes it to 11 psi, I'm getting no boost at lower speeds and only 2 psi at 65 mph with a light load. It's noticeably louder in...
I used to know this but...
...can someone remind me what causes rear brakes to lock after damp. Whenever it rains, my right rear tire leave a skid mark no matter how careful I am.
What's the fix? Difficulty? Link?
I finally had some time to drive the truck around with some spare coolant and a bucket of water. Everything stayed put. I disliked the engineering that put the edge that locates the t-stat on the top part so I couldn't use gravity to hold it in place we during reassembly. Perhaps they...
Today was the last day the old t-stat went to work...lazily. It took 1/2 hour at 70 mph for the truck to get to temp. Tomorrow is a new day with a new t-stat.
Paid via pay pal. Leroy, I dig you. It annoys me that I contacted Kennedy about an hour after I made the order and got no response. It'll probably still show up. Can I mail it to you gratis?
I'm at work and don't have access to the mail address I gave you but I'll get on it when I get home tonight. Thanks for the support. Oh, and I don't have a FLAPS...just an Annoying Parts-Equivalent Store (APES) with their crappy off-brand stuff and condecending attitude.
