Slightly OT- Ck out this diesel piston

Yea, its all steel where needed for strength and then the aluminum outer for sleeve contact. That wrist pin is probably the size of a coke can. Bore about 5.5 in, stroke 6 in. I think im gonna buy one of those pistons just to sit on my dresser and look at :)

Day off- Dismantle a 6.5 truck

Forgot to mention on the post mortem- there was a leaf stuck on the oil pump screen blocking at least half of it. So those front 2 rod bearings were last in line and got fried.

Day off- Dismantle a 6.5 truck

The 86 M1028 CUCV got in on the action, I drug the 92 over by the ditch where I had the trailer backed into. Then pulled it onto the trailer with the 86. I have a subframe that bolts in the bed of the 86 that a hoist bolts to. It has come in very handy. I recently used it to hang a new neck...

  19. davo727

    6.5 powered CUCV

Yeah then sounds good to me, those trucks go for $2500 or so lately with the old 6.2 in them so you are close enough considering the motor that one has.
