    Stalling and stumped!

Is the 'puter that common a failure? When setting the timing recently, I tried a KOKO procedure multiple times, and it would not take. In the past when I have done it, you can tell 'cause it will idle rough while it is setting TDCO. But same situation, when warmed up, pickup will run down the...

    Stalling and stumped!

Did you ever find the cause? Just wondering, because mine is now doing the same thing. IP, PMD? I have done Grounds, and hoses, still doing it, and still getting worse...

Parker, SD 25 miles south and west of Sioux Falls. Warm in the summer, cold in the winter, but I'm not complaining, considering the guys up north!

    Cold stall...and stall...and stall

Yes, Buddy, I was referring to the Engine shutoff Solenoid. The only reason I mention the temp is because the problem seems to be more pronounced the cooler it gets. The morning I had trouble was 50*, and any other morning has been cooler. I have a spare PMD. If I have trouble again, that...

    Cold stall...and stall...and stall

Regular glow cycle. SES light comes on when key is turned on, but goes out as soon as the pickup is started. All headlights and dome lights work properly even after shutdown. Last night, I switched out the FSS with one off of an old IP. No trouble this morning, but was relatively warm, about...

    Cold stall...and stall...and stall

8 psi at T. Just put in a Walbro pump. If I can get it to do it again, I have the guage hooked up to see if fuel pressure drops. I spent 3 hours on it last night to find nothing wrong. I have not tried a PMD, because it was only a cold start issue. It has been 50 degrees in the morning, and...

    Cold stall...and stall...and stall

I need some help, fellas. My truck has been doing this intermittently, for about 2 months now. This morning was the worst, by far. I'll start it to let it warm up about 10 mins. before I go to work. This morning it stalled about 5 mins. into the warm up. Usually go and shut the key off...

    Pre-Turbo VS. Aft-Turbo temps...

I believe ideally, temp should be taken right at the turbo impellers, but since this is not possible, I put mine right at the turn down of the turbo. Would you not want to know what the temperature is on your turbo? You are getting all of the benefits. You put it in the crossover and you find...

    Walbro Install

I put my fuel pressure gauge on the tee last night, 0 to 10.5 PSI, and pegged it out. As soon as I get a higher gauge, I'll let you know what I get. I got to put a few miles on my truck tonight, and it runs smoother, and sounds less labored. I am super happy with the pump. Anybody else gonna...

    Walbro Install

I wish I had access to a tig welder! Bracket looks amazing. I had to settle for mig. I used 2" tubing to 3/16ths plate. and then a small piece of 1/4" to space fuel pump out.

    Walbro Install

I cut the plug off of old pump, and used uninsulated butt connectors with heat shrink. I have wired the ops to a relay to power the pump. You can't start a story like that without finishing it...:bigear: --I'm all ears!

I'll show you mine, if you show me yours...:D A few pictures of my install 1. Picture of the whole plate. (P.S. I don't like the scotch locks in the bottom of the picture, but I just found them. They are for the fifth wheel connection in the box, but I have never used it.) 2. Picture of...

Have more Walbros on order. 16.5 psi/50GPH. Group buy!!!!

Thanks, Buddy, mine is the same way. I guess I didn't realize the FRB-5 was pressure regulated. So what you are saying is that they are both poppet style. I'll try to snap a couple of pictures tomorrow. Anyone have any trouble starting a new thread on Walbro installation? Will anybody else...

Have more Walbros on order. 16.5 psi/50GPH. Group buy!!!!

I got mine last Thursday (5-5-11). Thank you Leroy for the quick shipment! I do have a question though, I did not know they were a poppet pump, are the FRB-5s rotary or poppet? In any case, installed and working very well! I have a prefilter in front mounted on a nice plate. I'll try to get...
