I guess when I get back home I'll need to contact Timbren about some smaller sizes. If yours are setting on the axle mine will be too long. I have the 2" drop shackles on mine.
Paul I haven't recieved mine yet. Maybe I should measure the distance from the frame to axle and see if I'll have the same problem as you. I don't want any rougher ride that I already have unloaded. Thanks for the update.
Also maybe a mod can seperate this thread as I have sucessfully...
Yes I used the discount. Thanks for letting me know they had the codes out. I was going with another supplier that had free shipping till I saw the discount.
I'm hoping that they aren't noticable when I'm not loaded down. I'm afraid that with the crappy ass roads here in Beaumont I'll be...
Not to hijack but I just ordered a set of these (Thanks for the link) from Rockauto. I was looking at airbags but for the price I figures I'd try them. I tow a 5th wheel and get a small amout of sag after I installed the Sulastics and the 2" drop. I hope these cure that.
Have you reset your modem and router? Unplug power from both for a few mins then power up the modem. Let it sinc with the server at your internet company. When all the lights are on on the modem the power up the router.
Does your router have a reset to default button on the back? You might...
Here is another thread about heated seats from over at the place http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=351070
It has some good pictures in it.
The only temp issues I have is EGT. The trans doesn't get much above 150 and my coolent temp is steady around the 200 range. I'm trying to get the EGT's lower for pulling my 14k trailer thru the mountains without having to constantly be watching the gauge. I think a good EFI tow tune will help...
I have synthetic fluids in the boxes. I'm looking at getting RDL manifolds, up pipes and downpipe while I have the trans out then the EFI tunes. I think that will help keep my EGT's down.
I've got some questions and not sure where to post so I thought I'd start here, move if necessary.
I have a 35' 14k toyhauler I pull regularly and I'm thinking about some mods that will help with mpg and egt's. I'm already working on a trans upgrade and EFI DSP5 and was wondering if going up...
I had the #8 go bad on me last spring. The dealer replaced all 8 for the $100 ded then a couple weeks later sent me a check for the $100 back said GM covered it all.
Here in south Texas there isn't any need to salt the roads so that isn't a problem. The kit I'm looking at is from Nor-Cal and it by Air Lift I believe and the compressor looks like it is in a case.
I have the 2 gauge AutoMeter pod above the mirror now I didn't know they made one with more...
Oh...I thought the compressor was sealed so it could be mounted under the hood. I already have an overhead gauge pod. Would the air pressure gauge fit in an A-Pillar pod? I could move my other gauges there if I had too.
I'm needing to get some air bags for when I'm towing my 5th toyhauler. Can anyone help out with where to mount the compressor and a good location for the gauge and switch?
Sorry for the late reply. No I couldn't feel any difference. I just followed along with all the normal list of first mods. As far as towing goes I couldn't tell any difference either. I didn't have gauges when I replaced it so I can't say how much my egt's changed. I dropped the cat so now it...
I tow a 30' 5th toyhauler that weights between 12-13k when loaded. I get between 10-12 mpg down here in Texas flat land. I tow with the Predator on tow and going over steep bridges I can easily get the egt's in the 12's. I have a LOT of wind resistance but tuck up behind a semi and everything...
I can't tell much difference...running down the road towing or not...between my stock exhaust and the catless MBRP I have now. Driving around with the radio off and the windows down I hear a slight whistle but if I wasn't listening for it I wouldn't hear it.
