I have a problem with my heated leather seats in my 2004 duramax, when i click the power seat on it will turn on but as soon as you sit up, move or do anything the seat will instantly turn off, if the passenger seat is on it will turn off as well, if your not sitting in the seat it will turn on and instantly turn off (95% of the time), i want to say a short somewhere, but i know of alot of my friends that have this issue and am thinking it must be more than just a simple short.

If you wanted you could tear into your seat and fix it yourself, for way cheaper than a new seat. ;)

thats also a thought, my trucks a big 8inch lift though so the seat is not in the best of shape to begin with just from jumping in and out so we will see. Maybe ill get lucky and find one Salvaged

I pulled the seat covers off my driver seat, I changed the heat elements and the situation is the same... I click the buttom to turn the heated seat back on and it will click on for a quick second and you will hear a 'click' from the little computer box underneath the seat and the heat element kicks out.... Is there a relay or something that would be the issue?

$5 says it is the wiring harness in your door, from where it leaves the cab, and goes into the door. Mine is going, (keep loosing the door speaker once in a while,) and same seat symptoms as you. You could fry an egg on my seat, then went all of a sudden. Gonna price out that section of harness. Hoping not too much.
