He said it wasn't actually a kick down cable but was there to make the transmission shift from gear to gear smoothly.he didn't tell me what it was actually called and kept referring to it as a kick down cable.

I've ran across this problem many times over the years and still having the same problem with my wife's SUV.ive always attributed it to low humidity between the contacts on some of the older models. Hope that helps.
the alternator on my 83 Chevy p/u. The battery terminal is turning. It was working when I took it off. Is it broken now? Fixable or trash? Any help would be appreciated
