Traveling to Ohio and return, Illynoise and Indiana was the highest prices we seen.
5.59 a gallon was the norm and one area was 5.69 a gallon.
Coming back and in Wisconsin, Minnesota the prices had dropped into the $4.00 range but I dont remember the cents.
Seems $4.29 was the lowest.
Marathon stations in many areas directly across from the most expensive stations was always 20 or so cents cheaper.

Top picture, remove that bolt and ground wire, shine all three, the grounding surface, wire terminal and the bolt.
Then peel back the plastic on all the battery cables and shine them up too.
Sometimes those plastic insulators can be removed, if so do that then shine those terminals and give them a shot of battery corrosion preventive before reassembling them.
Third photo down, that red alternator battery terminal wire looks mighty suspect of having some broke strands within the insulation. Be good to clip out that piece and solder on a new ring terminal.
Scrub to bright and shiny all of the wire terminals that have been disconnected.
One of those tooth brush size stainless steel wire brushes is Your best friend, and some black wet/dry sanding paper.

Update: since I store i bought from wasnt a Corporate Store, I cant warranty it out, all I can do is return it. Alternator failed the test btw

That being said, Autozone and Advanced AutoParts (which there are plenty of in NYC/LI) have them. I can return the core and purchase one from them.

Which of these would best work:

(Keep in mind, I run subs)

Update II: batteries are no good aswell, deadaswell.

From AutoZone and AdvancedAutoParts, what batteries should I get?

Be sure that the pulley is the proper diameter, if Your blazer has a tach.
Oh boy, you had done a previous exchange, if the pulley on the original alternator was a different diameter then it could throw off the tachometer reading.

I've had decent luck with walmart batteries over the years, but recently they have gotten whatever about getting them warrantied. this last year we have had nothing but bad luck with batteries in general.

weren't the ones you have still within warranty?

lately I have been just getting good used ones from the local pick a part yard and a local place that selles "refurbished" ones I don't mind paying $60 for one that will give me at least a years use. Knock on wood, the pair that are in my 93 which are from the junk yard have been serving me well. as for customer service and warranty for new. it all depends on your area, here, O'rieliey's is the go to or Napa. most all of the places you go to will carry the same manufacture battery which is normally Exide. Now if you can find a rep, and that's a big IF, Interstate seem to do well too, but not everyone carries them and if you ever have an issue in the future, well... you might be in a pickle finding a place to swap them out.

They are under warranty still sir. Though unfortunately theres no Oriellys in the NYC/LI area, ill have to upstate for that. Combined with the tolls and fuel id waste.....its just not worth the trip.

Here in the Tri State (CT, NJ, PA) Costco, Autozone, Advanced AutoParts, BJs, and Walmart dominates.

Ive asked on the Diesel Subreddit and 6.2 chat, most of the consensus is AGM, Walmart, and Costco is the way to go

Still upset it really died like this, a few of the guys in the 6.2 chat did say to plug the old batteries in, and see how it cranks, if it starts relatively easy, go on a long drive and see how the volts hold, if it doesnt, well, new batteries then.20260316_171606.jpg
