Was wondering if anyone had any part numbers for a clutch pedal assembly for 93 GMC. I'm doing a swap from 4L80E to NV4500. I have a pedal but I need the mounting bracket. I can't find anything on the web and there are no scrap one on Craig's list.
Ok, I read on another forum that it could be brake light switch and the TPS. So in a last ditch effort I swapped out both and what do you know.... Fixed it. I took it for a long drive and got it good and warm, no problems. It shifts so smoothly and actually goes into OD nicely!
Well, celebrated too early. Took it for a good drive this morning and when it warmed up it was same ole same ole, hard shift and no overdrive. I guess I am going to put it in the shop.
Bummed!!!!!!!! :mad2:
Update: so after much consideration I decided to go ahead and drop the pan and replace the filter, solenoids A & B, Tcc solenoid and pressure solenoid. I figured since it was electrical in nature that would solve the issue. The fluid was brown in color but there wasn't any shavings in pan...
I know it's been a long holiday weekend, but could some one with experience chime in on this post, please? I really need my truck back on the road. I don't trust local shops, not that they don't know transmissions, but that they don't know 6.5's. ;)
I'm not sure if this problem in tranny...
Ok, I pulled codes this morning. On firsts attempt, (having never done it and not knowing what to expect) I got a code 73 and code 83. Are these two related? I was going to retrieve them again and see if I missed one on account I didn't figure out the flash sequence till the end. It cycled...
I have scoured this whole section for help. My transmission is giving me problems. It runs fine when cold except for a hard 1-2 shift but when it warms up I loose over drive. I know check grounds but what else should I investigate?
It is on a 1993 gmc 2500 mechanical pump
I can get it to shift into 4 low and it clunk and goes, but when I push the 4 high button both the 4H and 4L lights blink and then they all go out and no 4wd. But if I put it in neutral and go from 2H to 4L it will shift and I have 4wd. I have replaced the actuator on the front axle, didn't...
I just hate it when everyone else in the diesel world puts down the 6.5 as a weak and useless diesel. From comments I usually receive, one would think the GM didn't have enough power and torque to pull itself out of the way. According to the numbers on paper- this isn't the case at all...
I am sure this has been discussed, but I just stumbled across this information. I must sheepishly admit that this information was taken from off the ever so trusted world wide web. So, if you know the real numbers please post away!
I was surprised to learn where the 6.5 sat when it came to...
