    CDR on military engines

On civilian 6.5's the CDR sits on top of the passenger side valve cover. I have looked and looked but cannot figure out how the CDR is plumbed on military engines. No hole on the valve cover. Any insight from anyone here would be helpful.

    Help with IP ID

Bigger question is a source for new injections lines and the hardware. One vendor sells a complete set for $400 and another for about half of that. Trying to find the rubber isolators used in the brackets is tough unless someone has a better idea ...other than Ford, lol. I will reuse parts...

    Help with IP ID

Everything looks ship shape on the motor. I pulled oil pan and valve covers to paint them. I’m still going to spend the $$$ to have the pump checked out. Don’t have time to redo after it’s in

    Help with IP ID

More detail, I'm doing a frame-off restoration of an 1985 Chevy K30 crew. The frame has been shortened for a short box. The motor going in is a military take-out motor. I have an A-Team turbo to go on it as well

    Help with IP ID

Will, your explanation sounds reasonableIt came off of a donor engine. This is a for a truck project I am working on. At the time I got the motor, I was still recovering from a pretty bad car accident (head-on with a semi) so I did not go over the engine with a fine toothed comb. I wanted it...

    Help with IP ID

All, Its been a while. I'm trying to determine when and what vehicle the DS2831-4911 injection pump was used. I could not find anything on the sticky or on a search thru the threads. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it a 6.5 or not?

6.5 Hope? Well it appears that I may have after all found a 6.5 core for only $50 more. It is in La Grande Oregon. They are checking right now that it really is a 6.5 block with 6.5 heads with a 6.5 (DB2 4911) IP. Maybe...just maybe!

Is it a 6.5 or not?

The 6.2 block has 6.2 cylinder heads. The injectors on the passenger side are in immediate contact with the exhaust manifold. Not knowing the condition of the block (previous owner could not get a running engine to start ,???). So I will pass. I suspect that even the injection lines were tweaked...

Is it a 6.5 or not?

Well it appears that the owner of the truck sucked a valve on his 6.5 and went to a buddy that supposedly had a running 6.2 and swapped that motor in and then swapped the turbo on. Never could get it to run, claiming an electrical problem. I am thinking that this is a mechanical pump...fuel...

Is it a 6.5 or not?

Maybe "Red Block"? So the question is, is $600 too much for intake manifold, exhaust manifold, all of the brackets for alternator, ac compressor, power steering pump, injection lines, ip (though it is a db2-4267), timing cover, valve covers, and cylinder heads (if they are 6.5 cylinder heads)...

Is it a 6.5 or not?

I first heard about this engine back in April/May 2013. Just before our car accident. It took me 3 weeks of work on the phone for them to pull the motor. To find out it was not the original motor or IP. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I have been on a hunt for about 2 years...

Is it a 6.5 or not?

That's the decision. If it was a rebuildable core I might be interested. I was looking more for all of the ancillary parts for a possible "Ted's Trucks" engine. Plan on using the ATT. So without tearing down the motor to find out its junk. Everything but the turbo for $600.
