3 bolts. 1 up, center on the IP, and two down low on either side. I have a single stat, and took an old craftsman 15mm, torched it enough to bend to about a 70-75 degree angle. I tried a 45 degree angle first, but it wasn't enough to make it work. Once I had it bent, I used a very large set of...
We had a suburban a few years back. traded for a conversion van,(we have 4 kids) and now the wife actually wants a diesel sub. I almost teared up when she said it! So now I'm online trying to find a 95 with decent miles. They are few, and far between.
I want the 95 because its still OBD 1...
Hey all, I am doing some research for my father in law on this one. He owns a '02 CCSB with 101k on it. He has never had an issue with the engine, though the truck does have some interesting electrical quirks.
He wants to open it up a bit, he has a 26' Travel Trailer that he has pulled alot...
Thats funny that the "Rubber Necking" be brought up now. Its become a game in my truck with my boys to see who can spot the most "diesels" when they are with me.
And though my wife would never openly admit it, she plays too!
I had never noticed the destiguished bumper holes...
Its funny you said that putting a thread on the existing rod is what you did. I was looking at mine yesterday wondering if it would work, seeing as I don't have a welder at my disposal. Looks like I got no excuse now. :biggrin5:
Sounds like your EGT's are about the same as I had prior to the new exhaust. Now i only see the 850-900 range if I'm pullin something. And even then, it only goes that high while I'm accelerating. Once I get it up to cruising speed, it drops to about 750 and stays there.
I tapped the back of...
It shouldn't move that much. That would defenately cause a vibration. Mine was not cracked either, but the crossmember it was attached to, was loose from the frame. :yikes:I went ahead and replaced the tranny mount too, just as insurance, but once the crossmember was fixed, so was the vibration.
Yeah, thats what we're running into i think. It turns out only the FM stations are affected, the AM and XM are not. Its weird. But the PRND21 cluster is also out, and we had to pull the fuse for the power seats because the heaters would come on at random and go crazy. The last thing you need on...
Hey All, I'm trying to help my father in law a bit with his truck. He has an '03 CCSB, with the bose 6 disc-in dash set up. The CD player works fine, but the Stereo doesn't at all. FM-1, FM-2, AM......Nuthin.
Is it fixable? or are we looking at a new radio?
Taking them off with hand tools should not be a problem. Thats how they went on for proper torque. If you don't have a breaker bar, you might look into one. But you could probably do with out one, just a little easier with.
