    Help In Chattanooga, tn

Upper and lower. now I'd added front shocks and rear spring shackles. previous owner installed lowering shackles, and the overload springs sit hard against their pad now, so the truck rides like a brick. even more so than a dually truck already does.

    Help In Chattanooga, tn

Actually not strictly diesel related. My 1995 Dually needs a new front end. Control arm bushings, ball joints, all the steering bits. I bought all the parts already. Doing it in my driveway (at the top of the hill) just doesn't seem to be as good an idea as I thought a month ago. Looking...

    DTR.com Dually Club

Bought it last april, but I decided to revive the dually club for 2013! =) 1995, 6.5TD 4L80E. Stock except for some home brewed programming improvements, and ugly wheels. 233k when I bought it, 238k now. Its my DD, but I live close to work.

    HX 40II and HX35 Downpipe

I would be all over one of these, I've been waiting for this announcement of another production run. Caught me in between jobs and in the middle of an interstate move. Maybe next batch? =)

    1995 F-code won't start / stay running

Well its all fixed now. I had to ride my bike to work all week, no time to fix the truck. Pumped the tank out from the fuel filler neck to get the bulk (30 gallons) out, then used the lift pump to get the rest, until it sucked air. put 10 gallons of clean diesel in and emptied the fuel filter...

    1995 F-code won't start / stay running

Well, I think fuel opacity is the problem. I bled out some fuel before the filter change, looked like this... After finding the optical sensor unplugged would make it run, I decided to dump the entire tank. I slapped together a harbor freight utility pump, a 10 micro water coalescing filter...

    1995 F-code won't start / stay running

Well, I've narrowed it down quite a bit with a single test I didnt think of before. and I think I know what the problem is. Unplug the optical sensor, truck is hard to start (as expected), otherwise runs fine. Plug it back in, it starts easy, stalls immidiately. So the answer is either a bad...

    1995 F-code won't start / stay running

2 days ago I was running super low on fuel, I poured in a couple gallons of my WMO/diesel mix I use in another older truck. Started missing this morning, so figuring it was out of fuel I went and filled up proper. 27 gallons of fresh diesel. This is where the real trouble starts. Drove 1.5...

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

I would just take your file, compare it against the stock bin its based on, then duplicate the changes starting with an automatic bin, but I really don't have a clue what i'm doing. I was just happy to be able to burn the chips, I figured learning what I was doing would be the next step =)

Maybe when you get your truck sorted out you can loan the real time stuff to other tuners. I've had 50+ chips in my truck at this point, and I think my tune from a month ago was the best I had.

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

I got an email today. I'm working with rainstate to try and develop an XDF from scratch. In the meantime, all XDF's that may be based off Wester's work are removed from my website. Google $EC.XDF, and you will probably find them hosted elsewhere. This makes the 2nd major vendor that has taken...

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

You can change the torque converter lock/unlock points. I've got mine bumped down a couple miles an hour. any further than that, and the engine lugs hard when you get on the throttle just a bit. I was fooling around with the 2nd gear lock/unlock as well, but it just wasn't working out nicely for...

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

Our adapters aren't quite as simple as that. The moates piece goes from a 256kbit eprom to 512kbit eprom, both 28 pins. We start with a 512kbit eprom, which means going to a 1024kbit (1mbit) eprom, which is 32 pins. Not quite as simple. Still doable, and i have a couple 1mbit eproms here to play...
