1650 is kinda steep. but if you got it flawnt it. the stealer here would only give me 800.00 for mine. I told him H*ll no. then traded my gasser in on the ford. they were going to send it to the scrap yard too. my truck has no rust through on it. just some surface rust in some scratches...
Well just had another PMD fail. It is mounted behind the bumper and has lasted for about five years now. Pretty good all things considered.
the truck has been treating me pretty good over the last few years. I haven't had to do anything to it but oil changed and regular maintainence.
This...
I live in a small town in Iowa. Were everyone know everyone else and their business as well (if you know what I mean). I originally went to look at the trailer the dealer had on the lot and found the truck. The original PO used the truck and trailer for their vacations and when they weren't...
Yep thats what folks told me when i bought the 6.5. you know everyone tellin me what a mistake. other than a few minor things it has been a great truck. has done everything I have asked of it.
With this 6.0 only having 16,000 miles on it in the first 5 year and the 5yr/60,000 mile warranty I...
No, it hasn't had any thing but oil changes done. it only has 16,000 miles on it. the PO only useed it to pull his 5th wheel. almost bought both the truck and trailer but I was a little late on the trailer. it had already been spoken for. nothing done to it but what is listed in the discription.
Sorry i missed the GTG. I would have had the worst beater there by the looks of the vehicles in the pics. next year you will have to send me an invite. don't know how far it is but a few hunderd miles is not far to meet some fellow 6.5ers. looks like it was a good time.
anyone here using or veiwing this part of the site these days? would be nice if there were. just got a new to me 06 ford ccsb 6.0 last week. can't do much to it for awhile got a 60month/60,000 mile warranty on it too. I still have my 6.5 though couldn't turn loose of it.
i did notice that...
How has everything been going everyone?
Just thought that I would add a up-beat post here. My 6.5 has been running great this year with no problems. Just oil changes and fuel filters everything has been great. This forum has given me the answers I needed when I was having problem and I pretty...
Well, I should be able to give a comparison soon. so far the psd is much stronger. Although it has only been a grocery getter so far.
I am still using my 6.5 for my workhorse. once the summer gets here the psd will be pulling the 5th wheel and we will see it work. it is a DI.
WOW, this thread has taken on a life of its own. seem like a fairly simple project has become a chore.
JMO
Yes this mod was for pre 96. There was no redundancy on the older curcuit. The main reason for the mod was to reduce the electrical load on the OPS from the LP. (current draw)
I...
My first thought is why was he parting it out in the first place? I think that you are probably right in line with the 500 to 750 range. start low you can always go up and very seldom come down. just my 2 cents
The job or reason for the VSSB is to change the analog/pulse signal from the speed sensors to a digital signal that the ECM can read. Don’t know if this will help you though with the engine swap. IIRC when you do an engine swap such as you have, you need to install the stand alone trans ECM from...
