    RockAuto Code

google retailmenot and there is always a current 5% discount code for Rock Auto. Don't download or install their search engine, just go down a few spaces and copy the code directly. You can also google rockauto discounts and retailmenot is near the top of the search results. I use the code...

    New Dempfer Balancer

I have Dorman harmonic balancers on all my 6.2 diesels and 6.5 turbo diesel; however, they all don't have many miles on each vehicle since install. Be advised most are made in china if that matters to you. I didn't like that fact, but with discounts - they were cheap enough for new ones...

Just retired after 37 years of service - 11 years active duty Army and the rest Army Reserve. Came in under carter and left under obama - two weakest presidents ever...

    94 C2500 SAS

Pretty nice M1008 to be parting out. Wonder if the seller has issues with a title? He is asking top dollar for the drivetrain, but $800 for a 15K 6.2 is reasonable...

Good deal on 92-99 Suburban power mirrors

Thought I'd pass this on to anyone needing outside power mirrors for your 92-99 Suburban. My OEM mirrors and housings were scratched up pretty bad plus the motors were "tired" as well. I found a pair of mirrors for $50.90 shipped. I ordered them Sun night and they arrived the following Weds...

WTB: Navy blue interior parts and factory skid plates for my 95 Suburban K1500

Ok, I'll watch for the 96's too. Yes, junk yard may be the route - especially for the fuel tank guard... Thanks.

    Retrofitting a "tow" buttoned shifter on a 1995 Suburban K1500 w/ 4L80E

Hmm, sounds like there's more to the tow/haul setup than I thought... Guys were selling them on eBay for around $30 plus ship, so would have been a cheap mod... ... but I better leave well enough alone and just manually shift to 3rd like THEFERMANATOR said... Thanks guys for replying!

WTB: Navy blue interior parts and factory skid plates for my 95 Suburban K1500

I am looking for the following parts in navy blue: * dashboard (has to be 1995 only - 1996 had the passenger airbag) * instrument panel trim bezel (mine has a few broken clips - I need one w/o broken clips and tabs) * dash cup holder (the one that pulls out from the dash) * 12v power...

WTB wheel centers for 6 lug steel wheels Links to for sale items appreciated

Figure out the GM part number, then Google that and you should get several hits to eBay listings. Also check out Craigslist. I bought my PY0s locally from a seller from Craigslist. For reference, new GM 6 and 8 lug center caps run about $125.00 for 4 before shipping and Dorman makes...

    Retrofitting a "tow" buttoned shifter on a 1995 Suburban K1500 w/ 4L80E

Question for the 4L80E "experts"... Not being a tranny guy, but does the later GM trucks with the "tow" button at the end of the shift lever lock and unlock the torque converter to keep it out of overdrive? If so, could a later model shift lever w/ the tow button be retrofitted to my...

    2WD indicator light question

Hmm, makes sense, but GM "could have" illuminated to show the rear axle picture of 4WD during the day like the front bulb does when the front axle is engaged (w/o the light switch on)... Thanks THEFERMANATOR!
