Is the OT bad? The OT is a metering device. I've seen this happen before. The standard that remember from school was 20 or 30 degrees below ambient temp. Also check your charge. I believe that the suburbans where 3lbs with rear AC.

It has very little surface rust. Frame has around 162000. Has front end work done not to long ago. 17000 miles ago. Engine has 18:1 pistons, engine if I remember was blue printed. Has the heads ported. Timing gear set. Injection pump and injectors setup for truck. I'll get pictures.
