Gotcha. Thank you very much. I'm just a dumb bush equipment meknic/operator and it sounds like it's doable. I'm sure I'll have more questions but until then, thank you very much
Hello and good evening, all.
Here's the story: I have a '93 gm with a 6.5 Detroit. The 4L80E behind it is cooked. I do have a 1998 4L80E from behind a 5.7l that's basically brand new. Would the '98 4L80E fit behind the '93 Detroit? Thanks a bunch
It's a 4L80E. Basically, I bought the 2x4 in hopes of the trans being a quick fix but upon further inspection, it needs more than a trans. So I bought the 4x4 with a blown up 5.7 for 1/4 the cost to fix the 2x4 and the truck I drive now is a miracle on wheels and ready to get retired very...
I'd say I'm fairly knowledgeable... I've been a bush mechanic for a few years now. I'm trying to do it as cheap as possible but I will definitely not hesitate to spend the money needed and yes, I do think I'd have all the tools
I have a '93 6.5 that I'd like to put in place of a '97 5.7 . The 6.5 is coming from a 2x4 3/4 ton and going into a 4x4 3/4ton. Any pointers? How ignorant of a job is it?
