Ok so the pulley has the rubber correct the rubber split all the way around in middle of pulley

Cool deal it does have resistance it doea not spin easily

Isnt it all one piece

Im sorry i call it the balancer but its the pulley my fault

Im sure it is ive been hearing a knocking sound so when the water pump went to leaking yesterday i assumed that was the knocking sound boy was i wrong

Well thank u very much on that so thats good i have a much bigger problem at the moment now harmonic balancer has apperently been split at the rubber all the way around heads of bolts are beat to hell cheapest one i can find is 300 bucks at oriellys any suggestions bc i dont have that kind of...

Hopefully this isnt a stupid question for this site but on my battery guage on the dash kicks up to around 10 volts when key is turned on while glow plug light is on when light goes out it goes up to 11 11.5 or so is this good or bad all cables seem tight wut can i try next

Well the fly wheel doesnt look to to bad really i know it doesnt take much to mess it up im not ready to tackle a flywheel being ive only had truck 2 weeks lol i may get new starter first then if all else fails ill replace flywheel

Ok so maybe i spoke to soon idk wut to do i installed starter braket/brace nice and tight starter bolts good and snug starter starts to turn motor over then starts making grinding noise again i turn key off then try to start again the starter spins as if it not grabbing nething "free spinning"...

Well the starter is the right one i was able to get the brace installed now it starts with a turn of the key all day long thanks for all the helpful hints
