Is there nething i should know before replacing this water pump on this beast if its not one thing its another just want to ask before i tear into this beast thanks ahead of time

There are bolts into the water pump from the timing cover. So the steel plate that goes over the timing cover needs to come off as the water pump is bolted to it from the backside. Same plate the oil fill goes into.

You want to look into a high output replacement pump from 1998 or newer - thread on or 4 bolt flange to fan clutch. Use a "NEW" not rebuilt water pump due to balance flow issues.

Ok then thank u very much so do they make a gasket for that steel plate or can i just use rtv

They make a gasket and one should use it as there are 2 vent holes for the aluminum timing cover that could get plugged with silicone. The holes being plugged corrode the inside of the blind passages badly.
