Replaced my failing IP with a DTech PMD and AN IP from Penninsular Diesel. The DTech is 1/2" thicker than the Stanadyne. I mounted the PMD behind the front bumper at installation, no issues with the pump or PMD since complete.
Is your computer throwing any codes? I would think if your...
The Stanadyne tag on the original pump is labeled "DS4831 5067". There is no tag on the one I purchased from Peninsular Diesel (although I did specify the number above when ordering). Any way to identify which model?
Good idea on the ECT sensor. I know it was plugged in during both runs...

Ideas?
Hey all - just finished swapping my IP out after having lots of stalling and throwing all the wrong codes. Here's my issue:
After installing the pump with transferred scribe line and making all connections, I set (did not bolt) the lower intake manifold on the heads. After all the air bled...
I'm replacing the injection pump, bled air out of filter, and cranked for three 10-second sessions. With #3 injection line cracked, no fuel came out. Have power to ESO, but noticed for the first time it was very warm to the touch. Earlier reply on DP mentioned if plunger not activating, would...
More Cable Tips
Keep in mind that it is critically important to mount the wires in the proper sequence in the connectors or the PMD will not operate. The two female connectors need to be a mirror image of each other. The manufacturer makes it easier by labeling each slot A-F. Follow this layout...
Earlier writeup on creating an extension cable with simple tools and pieces.
Being familiar and confortable with wiring, I decided to build my own cable for two reasons:
1) Primarily, I get a thrill out of doing it myself (if possible) versus purchasing from outside.
2) Second, I'm...
