Can get a reader that displays some "Live" data such as EGT, MAP, and reads codes, but not volts or coolant temp,is it a wroth while purchase for $133.00?
 
Best to contact them, see if it will read GM 6.5L Diesel datastream - often that type scanner will talk to the gasser (patooie!) ECM's but will not talk to Diesel PCM - maybe they'll let you be the test mule, money back if not functional
 
Did get chane to try it on my 96, worked, just wonder if "better" readers provided more information.
I know it's not a Tech2, one it's not bi-directional.

OBD1 GMTD-Tech and OBD2 Autoenginuity are pcware full function scanner\testers, emulate all Tech2 functions, but much more user-friendly, except for the stand-alone hand-held aspect - still, ever'body gotta laptop pc and is familiar with pc operation, so why not add additional functionality to yer laptop and desktop pc, where you can work and scheme in the warmth of yer own domicile, having monitored and saved the results of a complete vehicle module scan - Tech2's and similar gotsta be connected to the vehicle to function - no DLC, no workee

Try it - you'll like it..................
 
My mistake the "Live" data on the 96 was IAT, MAP otherwise not much else. The 99 Toyota had more information available including EGT, go figure.

Does the Autoenginuity SW provide more "monitors"?

Where does one obtain a cable and interface for the 6.5, any concerns on which type of cable and interface to get (VPW)?

Google Engh Motors for cables and software. They have a free monitor only software
 
Engh Motors is OBDI only.

Corolla, Google "Alex C. Peper" and "Car Code". While it is not as elegant as some of the others, it does real time monitoring and provides a lot of functionality for the money, about $122. It also does TDC Learn and other useful functions for our trucks. Fair warning though, it takes some practice to use effectively.

It will read TDCOffset but I'm pretty sure you have to do the key-on key-off to do a relearn. Leo

No, you can actually command it to perform a relearn. It is tricky and not as straight forward as a TechII, but none the less, it is possible. It also has the capability to shutdown individual injectors and other noted diagnostics for the 6.5. I have not tested this functionality, so this is pure speculation on my part. I'll try and get some screenshots posted later on.

On edit, I have performed a relearn on my truck using this tool. The statement that I made about not testing the functionality is in regards to speedometer calibration. My brain got ahead of my fingers.

That's interesting, their tech support told me in an email it wouldn't when I asked. I have barely used it yet so I was unsure. Leo
Edit: I went back through my emails and I was wrong, they said it would initiate a relearn. This program isn't as user friendly as ScanTech, but you can't compare a program that works on 100's of vehicles to one that works on 1. Leo​
