Yeah, but it will interfere with setting timing.
I suggest wiring the mod so there are three possible positions:
- normal stock wiring - the PCM (pin 11) connects to the tranny (line S)
- manual TCC locked - the PCM (pin 11) connects to nothing, the tranny (line S) connects to ground
- manual TCC unlocked - the PCM (pin 11) connects to nothing, the tranny (line S) connects to nothing
Most of the time, when I'm not pulling, I leave it set to stock. No codes. Mind you, I don't get codes when I use it, either - but I thought I was just lucky. Is it possible that when you set your TCC to manual lock, your PCM (line 11) is connecting to ground? That would give you a code 83...
Just a thought.
For now, Preach, I would hook it up stock so you can set your timing.
