Hello Guys and Gals,
I just wanted to introduce myself quick My Name Is Josh from Wisconsin. I have two trucks that I work on and both tend to be pains in the ARSE at times.

1995 Chevy Suburban K2500 7.4l gas engine
2008 Chevy Suburban 1500 LTZ with the "dreaded" 5.3l gas engine.

Any tips trick on either are appreciated. I am now in search of body parts for both because they both have gotten the big ol rust disease from our Wisconsin Winters..

Well That's all for now and hope to be talking to you guys real Soon

Welcome Josh.
On the 08- get the programming changed to eliminate the cylinder cut out feature. The tiny amount of fuel it saves is only worth it for first 100,000 miles, after that it casues more cylinder and ring wear that offsets the $ saved quickly.

Wow really Thanks!!! I have about 300k on it already and put every mile on the darn thing. Any advice for the fluctuating oil Pressure gauge and warning light sporadically. I have had the pressure sending switch/ filter changed at the dealership like 4 times... And don't get me started on the broken door handle count. lol

Gm has crappy grounds in all the older stuff from 1980- 2001 that I Know of. That is where I would start.

Maybe put on a mechanical oil pressure gauge just to test and make sure if it is accurate.

Welcome To the Truck Stop Josh. I have an 07 Tahoe LTD we bought new in June 06 with 120k on it. Haven't had too many problems with it but there's certainly some quirks with it.
