new PMD?

Interesting that there is a new entrant into an arguably saturated and dying market. And it comes with a 5 year warranty.

As a reference point, Leroy is selling the Flight Systems unit (for less) which now comes with a lifetime warranty.

I had helped prototype/test this unit a few years ago. Sent a couple to members here for testing. One to a cold climate and one to a hot climate. What was funny it the cold one had problems. I sent it back with my report and never heard back from them?
I checked into reselling them later and was surprised how high my cost was and the warranty. Like Jay said I can retail a lifetime warranty PMD kit now for less. http://leroydiesel.com/products/leroys-flight-systems-pmd-relocation-kit/

Just a note that there was a rather long thread at DP about this.

I am not promoting DP but you can mozy on there and search it and read it.

To come into the game at this stage claiming a forever fix and not offer a lifetime warranty?

No, REALLY GUYS..I can bench 350, but just not while anyone is watching me cuz uh... I get nervous. Yeah, I that's it- I get nervous.

If it was performance enhancing somehow, ok maybe. But just going off the it ends the pmd burning out advantage and 5 years? Stand behind your magic elixir like you mean it. Cmon man.

Have not gone back there since the data loss debacle when their system was compromised and apparently all customer information stolen (names, credit card information, mail addresses, etc . . .) from not only TDP, but all of their affiliate sites as well. Actually, the data loss is not so much the reason I dumped them as data theft from system neglect is sadly all too common. They forced me to reset my password to something 'complex' as a result which only highlighted that neither the sys admins nor corporate in Canada had a clue on how to run an internet-facing web site.

Wow, then create the discussion here but essentially this one is like the debacle of Sol-D a long time ago.

By the way, I have never gave any credit card info in any forum, why did you have to give CC information?

Haha good one Leroy.

Yeah, I signed up over there years ago and my debit card account got hacked the same week. Funny thing is it was a new card from a new bank account. I used that card by mistake. It was supposed to be emergency only account I had $5,000 in. I tried making calls, and couldn't find a person to talk to. Emails, etc. So I posted the details of my recently opened and closed account. Somehow, the posts got removed and my membership to the site was gone. So, that why I quit going to the diesel page. It is possible my laptop I used was what got hacked not their set up or someone their stealing and I said that in the post. But to be completely ignored for a month, then when posting about it to get a response of "poof I don't exist anymore" kinda sucked.
I get the owner of the site wants to make $ and has aright to, but what I like here is it is free to the web. Signing up is free. So someone who cant afford to risk $ on the chance that maybe someone can help get their truck running for work can get the help they so desperately need.

I have never paid for membership at any site.

There are a few organizations I belong to that have sites. But I have never paid for a membership to a site. I've never seen a site that I felt I needed bad enough or trusted enough to give that kind of info to.

What about eBay/PayPal?

X2. I know a lot of people have that inkling to get the exclusive stuff but not me.
I certainly would not trust forums to charge a fee.
If you have to pay like that, use a temporary CC number.
There are a few companies that have that features.

Once you pay for anything with a card, they have all the numbers they need. 16 digit front of card, exp date and 3 digit on back. Enter that stuff on any online purchase, over the phone, any purcahse. Used to be a zip code or name replaced the 3 digit code. Remeber anyone asking "name as spelled on the card including middle initial".

The more "proof" info the company demands from customers, the lower the per use rate is to them because less back charges.
