For those never around oxyfuels- a hammer strike will ignite both nitromethane , and heated nitropropane.

Just like you can light C-4 on fire (the plastic explosive, not the Ford transmission, well, I guess you could light one of those on fire, too!:)) to heat your C-rations with, but DON'T stomp on it to put it out, eh Will?

Anyone who would go 80 mph in an early 70's dodge pickup deserves a medal, a "participaction medal":D

That's why a c4 is called c4, it's only worthy of c4.
Dad had us eat c rations. MREs are better and have a heat pack you can make go boom

That was a '78 Iirc. Rebuilt the 318 then traded off the engine for a Bradley GT kit car. Don't worry, the dodge was properly crushed before I walk away. When I get mad at a truck, it never survives. 3 offers of over $4500 when done - I took $71 dollars at the crusher instead. Haven't owned a dodge since. If I had some c4...

Will, remind me NOT to ask you "How to change the oil"!

I mean any sane procedure is like block drive wheels, set parking brake, engine off sort of thing before you even start.

Nooooo! Not Will!

Will's Quick Drain Oil Change:

Step One: Get going over 100 MPH.. . . .

Ok, feel that I need to step-in and defend our good buddy Will here . . . He clearly has learned his lesson on the 100 mph explosive oil change. Now he just pushes over a wall for use as both chocks *and* frame support :D

My brother had a 73 with the 318, it moved along alright. His son had a 78 shortbox with a 440, it was so scary he swapped a slant 6 in it.

100mph oil change! Too funny!

Leroy- no hemi.

Who said 440? My dad had a coronet with a 440-6 pac he drove me to a hospital in at over 140mph. I was 7 or 8, Black widow bit on forearm. It swelled up like a ballon. Did you know if your allergic to horses, and spider venom is made from horse plasma you can be in a coma for 3 days? Looking back now my folks must have been so friggin worried...

HUSKER- pickup truck/ paint brush- even I know the difference. Stop painting buildings with your truck! In the 80s my older sister drove a 66 jeep into a house with my sister, my friend, and me in the open top jeep. 1 bent fender, cracked windshield from my little sister. House needed entire new bay window, front wall, and living room furniture. Jeep vs house, bet on jeep.

And Jay, block walls in a city is as common as brush in the country, so I had to test my brush gaurd in before going on a trip...
Hummer vs wall, bet on Hummer.

Never bet on dodge unless your Dad is driving, That's the big lesson here.:shame:

Nah, it was just a 360 2bbl beast. Gas gauge didn't work, so I could approximate how full the tank was by listening to the pitch of the fuel sloshing around in the tank behind the seat! As long as I kept my foot out of it, mileage wasn't too bad. Power drums front and rear. Had to go up on the sidewalk and sideswipe a three story brick building at 35mph in rush hour traffic to keep from assholing a minivan when the master cylinder failed. No real damage to the building, just MoPar turquoise green paint scrapes in the brick. Was able to take the jack handle and pry out the passenger front fender enough off the tire to limp it home. Swapped the front clip and bumper off of a MoPar orange '73 pickup, talk about a hideous color combo!. That ride into the brick wall was almost as much fun as two months before when I had to take the Interstate median at 80 mph when it blew out a wheel cylinder when I tried to brake to avoid being cut off by a semi. I think at almost to its fourth roll over of the odometer (it was at just over 375K) it was trying to tell me something as three months after the brick wall incident I was turning the corner to my house and when I straightened the wheel the truck kept turning. The steering gear box was still bolted to the small piece of frame rail that had tore loose from the rest of the frame!
Sounds like were getting pretty good at DODGing things.....sorry, I felt like someone had to say it...
