Has anybody bought these? I need to replace mine and I after a few years of himhawing around, I am finally pulling the trigger. Problem is the guy who is doing them won't put them in unless they are GM parts....:skep: He is also the diesel tech at the local gm delaership, and has his own shop for side work. Anyways the injectors at the dealership are $450 each including the core charge ($100). GMPARTSDIRECT is $182 each, but when you go through checkout is says $282 each...:boggled: No mention of a core charge or if you can return the old ones.

I was wondering if anybody has gone this route?

Or does anyone know if they are good remans?

Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!

They charge shipping on each injector.Plus there is a core charge too.Any injector you get will be a reman they all come from the same place.I got mine from allseasondieselperformance.com
I dont remember the injector coast, but for all 8,plus the return line seals, and some sealent was right at $2k
Also be sure to inspect the return lines good. They can get pretty nasty.

I would think they are the same injectors that you can get at the dealer, but at a lower price. I have bought from them in the past, and they sell exact OEM replacement parts. Most all have a $100 core charge, although it may not be listed.

Jeff before you buy anything PM me...I can get you a whale of a deal on Genuine GM injectors...without a core charge...and then you can ebay your cores for $600 easily...or I have a contact that will buy them from you for $600... either way you end up paying about $900 for the injectors after it's all said and done...

that GM parts direct price of $282(including core charge does not include shipping...they will kill you on shipping...and yes...they take the cores back and give you your core charge back...

Any TRULY remanufactured LB7 injector will come from a BOSCH shop. Avoid at all costs the EBAY special remans from Pensacola and the place in tennessee. Most any place can get them for you for about $250 a piece. Alot of dealers wil lsell them for $250 to you if you ask them to. Check with Pauls guy first though.

Thanks fellas. PMs have been sent....

I've been aware of Pensacola issues, and the ebay stuff, but I'm not familiar with the "Place in Tennessee" option?

Not responding in particular to the injectors question as I don't know jack about Duramax stuff, but the thing to keep in mind when asking questions about GMPartsdirect is that they are operated by a GM dealer; Flow GM Auto Center of Winston-Salem NC. The other thing to keep in mind is that while you generally are going to get real GM parts from them, I've seen numerous GM dealer parts departments also offer aftermarket stuff for "cost conscious" customers...which really surprised me. So while it doesn't hurt to ask...just clearing the air that there's no mystery about the general source of GMPartsdirect inventory; they are a real GM dealer and that is indicated on their website.

And yeah; they kill you on shipping/handling, on pretty much everything. There are cheaper sources for real GM parts if you hunt around.

The reason that I asked in the first place was that I was aware that GPD was a dealer, but my dealer here could not tell me where they get the injectors from, which kinda freaked me out. It would not be below some dealer to buy "ebay stuff" and pass it off as GM for a premium of $450 each!! Even junk rebuilds will probably last for the one year warranty especially with me as I don't put that many miles on my truck. So I was trying to get a feel of what GPD puts out.

I had heard about the shipping and handling, but even if I could save a 100 bucks per injector it would be worth it. I am hoping that my other options come through.
