Chevy dealer keeps telling me transynd, not sure if thats correct as transynd is atf and

Here is what the amsoil website recommends and says,
Torque-Drive® Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid
Engineered specifically for the Allison TES-295 transmission fluid specification. Replaces Allison/Castrol Transynd® fluid. Excellent protection in temperature extremes. Ensures consistent, smooth clutch engagement over the life of the fluid and controls clutch glazing and elongated shift times.

yes, I believe the ZF6 runs some pretty thin oil, so I wouldnt be surprised if it ran the transynd.

Ok,ive just heard a few diffrent things i was also told that it needs some special synchro-mesh type synthetic fluid

I run synthetic atf in mine. 183000 miles and no issues.

Ok, thanks for the help ive got some transynd in my toolbox at work so i can just throw that in it.

Check your owner's manual. Gotta have the info there. If it is ATF then Transynd is an excellent choice and you can run it in your transfer case as well. Of course the Amsoil mentioned would work well too, it is their version of a TES 295-type syn transmission fluid.
