You got a high pitched "ting" in your 6.5 and cannot find it? I found it!

SO I've seen the youtube videos where the 6.5 is idling and reving, and the engine has a ting type sound directly linked to fuel delivery, some said "injectors", "PMD", "IP", "LIFTERS", belt, pullies, harmonic balancers rod and main bearings among other possibilities. No one reported finding the issue!

I searched the engine with a stethoscope and it was not locatable, I worried about a dripping injector cutting a piston in half and an harmonic balancer breaking a crank, so I replaced these known issues to no avail. Then it hit me that I did the clutch and the cross over pipe could be loose ...... however one noise under the hood sounded like an exhaust manifold was leaking , I could not hear this TING underneath the truck!

It turned out I had a small leak from my crossover pipe! I did my injectors which makes the truck start easier now, I replaced both harmonic balancers which made other background noises disappear.... But that "TING" did not go away until I dropped the cross over pipe and I found 2 bolts were not as tight as the others, I dabbed the mating surfaces with high temp silicone and bolted it up! (A new 2.5 pipe will be installed once the money pain from the above goes away) Fixed!:hihi:

It really sounded like a "TING"! It sounded like someone was beating on a half inch steel pipe with a small hammer and it was not around the harmonic balancer! Hence why I worried about lowering the compression in my cylinders down to none! Thanks for the replies, I hope it helps someone... BIG TIME!
