I asked the other night about EFILIVE, and it got me to thinking. I know that RIDGERUNNER was reccomended instead of going the EFILIVE route, but what about PPE XCELLERATOR? My problem is this will not go into a GMT-800 platform, it will be going into an older body style SUBURBAN. I will not be transferring the entire harness and dash over, so the BCM will be left out. From my research I have found that EFILIVE and the PPE XCELLERATOR can both eliminate the VATS. I'm not after a HOT street machine, race rig, or extreme pull truck, I just want a reliable combo that will get me good milage and not drown out the cab with diesel noise. And the DMAX/ALLY seems to be the best swap as the 12V CUMMINS is just too noisy.
I have considered sending my ECM out and just have them wipe out the VATS and install a stock 02 operating system, but don't want to run into other problems later on that would require additional flashes and paying 2 or 3 times to get it flashed and get all of the bugs worked out. So which would fit the bill the best? I plan on calling RIDGERUNNER this week when I get time to talk with him, but just trying to gather as much info as possible beforehand.
