So yesterday didnt work out for the guys at St Joseph Diesel to get that motor. So were heading down this Sunday hopefully.
Now I have two plans for what to do with this motor.
1: Slowly build it up the way I want it with all of the stops pulled, and just put a GT4202 turbo on my current motor for this season
or
2: Do a low budget build with Howards Cams rods, cut the stock pistons, throw in some ARP head studs, add the 4202, do a DIY twin CP3 setup with the pumps from both motors and MDEs DIY kit, and 60% injectors.
Then swap the motors and slowly build my current motor to the way I like it.
Im leanign toward option number 2. Im gonna get the motor and the turbo around here. then see how much more sponsor money I can scrape up.
in the end option 2 wastes a lot of money but gives me a much more powerful truck for this season that should be a little less prone to having engine failure.
Just figured id share
