transmission went out do not have reverse. i believe my transmission is a 4l80e. what year of vehicles can i take a transmission from to drop into my truck

what year transmissions can i use in my 1993 chevy silverado c3500 dually

any year older than 96 i believe as long as you change the external harness, get one from here http://www.electricaladvantage.net/4l80eexternalharnessrepairkit.aspx

You wil lalso have to do some valve body mods if you use one from 94+. 91-93 is one style, then 94+ changed teh PWM lock-up solonoid in the valve body.
