Wear marks on crankshaft snout

Anyone know what the mark on the OEM balancer is? Hopefully it's not 0*

First impressions are good . Quite a bit smoother at idle seems smoother all the way to redline. It went on just like all the others I've installed perfect world would be 1/2" longer bolt.
 
So sitting and thinking about this do you suppose the outer ring is 0 balance? It would make sense from a manufacturing standpoint.
 
This old dog learned something new today. I always understood that an interference fit was different than a press fit. Not so according to Wikipedia. Here's a pic of the installation card that came with the balancer.IMG_20160921_201657.jpg
 
What has the company said, had time to contact them??

When you sit one on top of the other, and line up the keyway, where is the line compared to the new one...
