I'm getting there!
all these limitations the windows throws us is why I like a linux system. the problem with linux is not all applications are available for us. if they would only come up with a sandbox in linux where we could run our favorite windows apps without having to install a virtual machine that takes up considerable pc resources

So when I go through the video card it has an update now option but the only place it will accept a file from is the computer it's in.

Can You open a new folder on the desktop, then download the update and save it to that file, open that folder to get to the update ?

Maybe but most of the downloads don't seem to give that option

Thought I'd update this we found a driver version we could download and now all is good. Thanks for the help guys
